Nurse shark tooth

Nurse shark tooth

I saw a nurse shark tooth, and I started sculpting this scalpel of nature. So many shapes come from the same mouth, but I liked this majestic tower. A king blade flanked with two squires, ready to cut if the king did not make it in the first bite. Nature is a cornucopia of shapes and designs - how is this possible? Evolution and time is the answer. A tooth falls out of the evolution and petrifies. Still, even though evolution has stopped for this specific tooth, time doesn’t stop working it, changing it, turning the white colour into a pallet of beautiful earth colours bleeding from the minerals and swapping places with the original ones. It is hard to cope with Master Nature, but it is a pleasure to try. As a base plate, we chose a Rosewood board and had our talented  neighbour Rasmus Fenham making it to ensure craftsmanship of the highest level.
